Our In-house Youth Weekend looked forward to The Event in the summer... The Holiday Bible Club! This year's theme is Space Academy, and it walks us throughout Daniel's journey from Jerusalem to a strange land. This Weekend introduced the story of Daniel starting with Jeremiah's warning to the Israelites.  It was an afternoon of fun and fun, ending with a craft. The kids had fun getting messy and making footprints in paint. It was a good afternoon and we look forward to the continuation of Daniel's story in the Holiday Bible club in August this summer! God Bless.

On Saturday the 20th April - as part of our In-house Youth weekend -  we had the last Rock Solid event till Summer: Murder Mystery! Filled with craic and food, we all had fun sussing out the murder of Doctor Bodybags and interviewing (or harassing) the suspects.
Was it the Vicar? Did he kill for revenge of the Doctor getting involved with his wife?
Was it Lady Megabuck? Did she kill him to liven things up a bit?
Was it Mrs Ramsbottom? Did she kill for the money?
Was it Professor Brainscan? Did he kill to extract revenge on the pain and suffering the Doctor inflicted on him because of the misdiagnosis?
Was it Colonel Gunshot? Did he blame the Doctor's retirement for the problems he'd been having with he new doctor?
Or was it Bridget Bimbo? Was it crime committed in the heat of passion, as a result of rivalry triggering an already unstable mind?
Finally, questions all asked and clues all given, the Accusation Card were handed in.
The result? Who killed the good Doctor? Where? With what? Why?
Well.... that's for us to know and you to find out!

Then we were asked to look into another death file - Jesus'. We talked about the reason for his death, and what we should do about it.

After the investigating was over, we had the food. Chocolate fountain, Candy Floss, Waffle Berry Pudding, Shmuck, Cheesecake.... Mmmhmmm. It tasted good. ( I should know - I tasted everything!)

Thanks to the Leaders for massive amount of effort it took to set up props and organise costumes, bake food and then tidy up afterwards. God Bless!

On Friday the 26th October, the young people of MAD@first (with their leaders of course) headed off to Coleraine University for PCI's 14th MAD weekend. Although it is the 14th MAD, We had never been to it before, so we weren't sure exactly what to expect...
And it was.... Amazing! The music, the speaker, Duffy Robbins, the seminars.... everything was Amazing!
So it started off on Friday when we went to the University with cars packed full of people and luggage. We registered and went in to Diamond hall which was full of people.... and I've gotta tell you, it was the most uplifting and incredible thing to be singing and Praising God with 1200 other young people and leaders. Duffy spoke on Zacheous on Friday, Mephibiseth and David on Saturday and LiveLove, LivePassion on Sunday.
It ended on Sunday with everyone going off into their youth groups and discussing how we might Live Love as a group, and we decided to go into nursing homes in the area to talk to the elderly some Sunday night. (If you could pray for this it would be much appreciated! For other prayer points click on about us
It was an amazing experience and I want to thank the MAD14 working group (including - our - Laura, who made all sorts of cool videos and graphics, and our MAD@first hoodies that nearly everyone we talked to asked about!) and allll the MAD14 crew, and last but not least, our wonderful MAD@first leaders - without you it would not have been possible!
Many thanks and God Bless.
